Report: Monaco pull out of Victor Valdes move

A report claims that Monaco have ended their interest in Spanish goalkeeper Victor Valdes, who will leave Barcelona this summer.

French outfit Monaco have reportedly ended their interest in Spanish goalkeeper Victor Valdes.

The experienced stopper had looked certain to join the Ligue 1 side this summer after running down his contract with Barcelona.

However, according to L'Equipe, Monaco are not prepared to gamble on the fitness of the Spaniard, who picked up a serious knee injury in April.

Valdes is due to miss at least the first two months of the 2014-15 campaign, with Monaco believed to now be exploring other options.

Arsenal have also been credited with an interest.
