Arsenal have reportedly seen their hopes of signing Red Bull Salzburg winger Dominik Szoboszlai take a blow with RB Leipzig joining the race for his signature.
The Gunners are understood to have been keeping tabs on the 19-year-old for a number of months and have regularly sent scouts to watch the teenager in action.
Reports earlier this month suggested that they had earmarked him as a possible January target, but football.london claims that they could now face additional competition for his signature.
Salzburg's sister club RB Leipzig have reportedly now entered the race and have immediately moved to the front of the queue given the connection between the two clubs.
The likes of Naby Keita, Dayot Upamecano and Hwang Hee-chan have moved between the two in recent years, and Szoboszlai could become the latest in that growing list.
The Hungary international is also thought to be on the radar of the likes of Paris Saint-Germain, Napoli and AC Milan following a standout campaign last season when he directly contributed to 30 goals in 40 games.
Szoboszlai has continued that form this season with three goals and three assists in seven outings.
