Arsenal are close to signing Monaco's Park Chu-Young after the forward underwent a medical at the club yesterday, according to reports.
The South Korea international, who was on the verge of a €3m [£2.7m] move to Lille, is understood to have snubbed the French champions in favour of a last minute move to the London club.
"We haven't had a telephone call, nothing," Lille president Michel Seydoux told L'Equipe after the player failed to arrive for the second part of his medical. "From what we understand he could be at Arsenal."
"We are stunned with his unacceptable behaviour in terms of human qualities. This shows the player had nothing to do with Lille.".
Park will join former Lille forward Gervinho, Southampton youngster Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, Joel Campbell and Carl Jenkinson as the club's fifth signing of the summer.
