Arsenal defender Nacho Monreal is reportedly edging closer to a switch to Real Sociedad.
The La Liga side have previously been linked with the Spaniard, who is allegedly on the fringes of Unai Emery's Gunners squad for next season.
According to The Mirror, Sociedad are keen to replace Alvaro Odriozola, who was sold to Real Madrid for €30m (£26.6m) earlier this week.
The newspaper adds that the Spanish club, who see Monreal as an ideal candidate for the position, could be knocked back in their pursuit as convincing Monreal to leave London reportedly appears difficult.
Monreal, who joined Arsenal from Malaga in 2013, has won three FA Cups and three Community Shields in his time with the club.
