Monaco have reportedly opened discussions with Arsenal over taking Lucas Torreira on loan for the rest of the season.
The Uruguay international fell out of favour under Gunners manager Mikel Arteta and has spent the first half of 2020-21 with Atletico Madrid.
However, Torreira has started just two La Liga games so far and is set to be recalled by his parent club, though only if Atleti agree to cut short his loan contract.
Sky Sports News claims that a number of teams are interested in signing the 24-year-old on a temporary basis, with Ligue 1 outfit Monaco now considered the favourites to do so.
Serie A pair Fiorentina and Cagliari are also keen to discuss a move for Torreira, who previously impressed in the Italian top flight with Sampdoria between 2015 and 2018.
