Manchester City will reportedly move for Fiorentina's Dusan Vlahovic if they are unable to bring Tottenham Hotspur's Harry Kane to the Etihad Stadium this summer.
The Citizens are determined to sign a new striker before the end of the transfer window, and Kane remains the club's leading target, with the English champions in talks with Tottenham.
However, Spurs chairman Daniel Levy is allegedly still determined to keep hold of the England captain, which could force Man City to look elsewhere over the next couple of weeks.
According to journalist Sara Meini, Pep Guardiola's side have identified Vlahovic as an alternative to Kane, with the 21-year-old enjoying an impressive 2020-21 campaign for Fiorentina.
The Serbia international, who has also been linked with Tottenham, Arsenal and Atletico Madrid, scored 21 times in 37 Serie A appearances for La Viola last term.
Meanwhile, Vlahovic opened his 2021-22 season with two goals in Fiorentina's 4-0 win over Cosenza in the Coppa Italia on August 13.
