Former Arsenal midfielder Mathieu Flamini is back training with the club, although Arsene Wenger has no interest in the player rejoining the Gunners.

Former Arsenal midfielder Mathieu Flamini is back training with the club after becoming a free agent at the end of the season.

The Frenchman, who played for the Gunners from 2004 to 2008, was released by AC Milan at the end of the last campaign having spent five years at the San Siro.

Flamini is now without a club and has been training at London Colney with Arsenal after Arsene Wenger agreed to allow the 29-year-old to maintain his fitness levels.

Despite Arsenal's lack of depth in the defensive department, it is thought that Wenger has no interest in resigning Flamini, who can play at full-back and defensive midfield.

Flamini, who has been training with the North London outfit for the past week, recently stated that he wants to win the Premier League.
