Manchester City star Kevin De Bruyne has appeared to let it slip that Alexis Sanchez is on the verge of joining the club from Arsenal.
The Chile international came close to sealing a deadline-day move to the Etihad Stadium in the summer, but a transfer never materialised.
Since then, it has been widely reported that the attacker has his heart set on joining Pep Guardiola's side, who are currently running away with the Premier League title with a 15-point advantage over the rest of the field.
Reports have claimed that the North-West outfit have launched a £20m offer for the 29-year-old, whose contract at Arsenal expires in the summer.
While there has been no official word from either club, De Bruyne has seemingly suggested that it is only a matter of time before Sanchez is a Man City player.
"When he comes he will add something to the team," the Daily Mail quotes the Belgian as saying. "He's a very good player. Obviously we will see what happens in this transfer period. We don't have to take care about that anyway.
"If a good player comes to us that is better, if he doesn't come we do it with the team we have. We are on a good period already, the whole season."
If Sanchez does sign, then he is likely to take the place of Gabriel Jesus, who is facing six weeks on the sidelines with injury.
