Blackburn Rovers reportedly turn to Arsenal striker Marouane Chamakh after ending their pursuit of Huddersfield Town striker Jordan Rhodes.

Blackburn Rovers have reportedly outlined a move for out-of-favour Arsenal striker Marouane Chamakh.

The 28-year-old, who has slipped down the rankings at the Emirates, has been named as a possible departure from the North London club this summer.

While Blackburn, who were demoted to the Championship last season, have been linked with a switch for Huddersfield Town's Jordan Rhodes, it is understood that Rovers boss Steve Kean has opted for an approach for the Gunners forward, according to the Lancashire Telegraph.

Chamakh moved to Arsenal from Bordeaux in 2010.
