Aston Villa have reportedly made Norwich City playmaker Emiliano Buendia their top summer transfer target, amid speculation over the Argentine's future.
Buendia has been an influential figure in Daniel Farke's promotion-achieving squad, scoring 14 goals and registering 17 assists, the most in the Championship this campaign.
Dean Smith's side have suffered a dip in form during captain Jack Grealish's sidelined period due to injury, the West Midlands side only managing two wins in his nine game absence.
Birmingham Live reports that Smith is keen on a move for the Canaries number 17 as on-loan Chelsea midfielder Ross Barkley is likely to return to Stamford Bridge at the end of this season.
Buendia is the subject of interest for many Premier League clubs, including Arsenal and Leeds United, however with Norwich's promotion to the Premier League confirmed, the East Anglian club are expected to raise the price tag of their asset.
The 24-year-old has three years left on his contract at Carrow Road and the club have reportedly valued him at £40m.
