Arsenal yet to make improved offer for Newcastle United's Yohan Cabaye

Newcastle United manager Alan Pardew reveals that Arsenal have not yet returned with a second bid for midfielder Yohan Cabaye.

Newcastle United manager Alan Pardew has revealed that Arsenal have not returned with an improved offer for midfielder Yohan Cabaye.

The Magpies were hit with a reported £12m offer, which Pardew declared 'unacceptable', on the eve of Newcastle's 4-0 defeat to Manchester City on Monday.

"The situation with Yohan is ongoing," the Hartlepool Mail quotes Pardew as saying. "We've had one bid, and we've turned it down. That's all I can comment on with Yohan."

Recent reports have claimed that Paris Saint-Germain are winning the race to sign Cabaye.
