Arsenal are reportedly considering a late move for Napoli defender Kevin Malcuit as cover for injured full-back Hector Bellerin.
Bellerin will miss the remainder of this season and the start of next after being ruled out for nine months with an ACL injury.
The Spaniard is the latest absentee in a long list of defensive injury problems for Arsenal this term, and manager Unai Emery is reportedly keen to bolster his options at the back.
The Mirror reports that the Gunners have identified Malcuit as a possible replacement, although capturing his signature before Thursday's transfer deadline could prove problematic.
The Frenchman only joined Napoli last summer and is under contract at the Stadio San Paolo until 2022.
Arsenal are limited to loan deals during the January transfer window, but it is unlikely that Napoli will allow him to leave for anything less than an increase on the €11m (£9.6m) they paid for him.
