Arsenal 'to recall Eddie Nketiah from Leeds United'

Arsenal will recall Eddie Nketiah from his loan spell at Leeds United in January, according to a report.

Arsenal will reportedly recall Eddie Nketiah from his loan spell at Leeds United at the start of January.

The 20-year-old joined the Whites on loan during the summer and has scored five times in 18 appearances for Marcelo Bielsa's side during the 2019-20 campaign.

Nketiah only made his first Championship start of the season against Birmingham City on Sunday, though, with Patrick Bamford holding down the centre-forward spot for the promotion chasers.

According to the Daily Mail, Arsenal have been left disappointed by the striker's lack of starts since making the move to Elland Road and have now made a decision on his future.

The report claims that the Gunners will recall the youngster over the next 48 hours before sending him on loan to another club, with Bristol City currently at the head of the queue.

That said, Brentford, Nottingham Forest and Sheffield Wednesday are also allegedly interested in securing the Englishman's services for the second half of the 2019-20 campaign.

Nketiah has scored three times in 19 appearances for Arsenal in all competitions.
