Five Arsenal players are at risk of being offloaded this summer as Mikel Arteta plans a major summer overhaul, according to a report.
Having bowed out of the Europa League in dismal fashion to Villarreal in the semi-finals, the Gunners' 25-year stint in European football is expected to come to an end in the 2021-22 season.
Despite the ever-growing pressure mounting on Arteta's shoulders, owner Stan Kroenke is supposedly willing to back the Spaniard and help with the Gunners' transfer business this summer.
According to The Telegraph, a quintet of Arsenal players could be axed as Arteta plans to reshuffle his ranks, with Calum Chambers, Hector Bellerin, Alexandre Lacazette, David Luiz and Eddie Nketiah all on the chopping block.
Luiz's representatives have supposedly started to scope out possible destinations for the Brazilian defender should he run down his contract, while the Gunners are believed to have identified Genk forward Paul Onuachu as an ideal signing should Lacazette and Nketiah depart.
Chambers has managed to displace Bellerin in the Arsenal team recently, but Arteta is understood to be eyeing right-back options such as Achraf Hakimi or Tariq Lamptey for the new season.
The Gunners are languishing in 10th place before their Premier League meeting with West Bromwich Albion on Sunday.
