Arsenal are reportedly ready to entertain offers for midfielder Granit Xhaka during the January transfer window.
Despite being stripped of the Gunners captaincy following his outburst in last year's draw with Crystal Palace, Xhaka has become an important player for Arsenal again since Mikel Arteta's arrival.
However, the arrival of Thomas Partey means that there is greater competition for places in Arsenal's midfield, and Xhaka is no longer a nailed-on starter at the Emirates Stadium.
According to Eurosport, Arsenal are not sure if Xhaka is a good fit for the long-term plan in the English capital, and the Gunners are prepared to part ways with the Switzerland captain next month.
The 28-year-old has previously been linked with a move away as part of a swap deal for Inter Milan's Christian Eriksen, and the report claims that serious offers will be taken into consideration in January.
Xhaka is under contract at Arsenal until 2023 and is yet to bank a goal or assist for Arteta's side in any competition this term.
