Arsenal are reportedly preparing to follow up their interest in Brazilian youngster Maycon with a formal bid for his services this summer.
The 20-year-old midfielder has been monitored by a number of top sides following his performances for Corinthians, with Shakhtar Donetsk having made an unsuccessful attempt to land him back in January.
The Gunners have had Maycon on their radar for several years and were said to be "very interested" in signing him in January but ultimately decided against a move.
According to Brazil's UOL, however, Arsene Wenger's side have now decided to make an approach and are expected to bid around £9m when the transfer window reopens this summer, thwarting rival interest from Serie A side Napoli.
Maycon was a key part of the Corinthians side that wrapped up the 2017 Brazilian Serie A side by a nine-point margin.
