Arsenal reportedly secure the signing of experienced centre-back David Luiz from Chelsea.

Arsenal have reportedly secured the signing of experienced centre-back David Luiz from Chelsea.

The Gunners have been strongly linked with a move for the Brazilian over the last 24 hours, with a report claiming on Wednesday night that Unai Emery's side would pay £8m for the 32-year-old.

According to Sky Sports News, Luiz has agreed personal terms and undergone a medical ahead of a switch to the Emirates Stadium.

The report claims that the deal could be announced later this evening as Arsenal only have to ensure that the correct paperwork is submitted before the 5pm deadline passes.

The capital outfit, who open their 2019-20 Premier League campaign against Newcastle United this weekend, have also confirmed the arrival of Kieran Tierney from Celtic on deadline day following weeks of speculation.
