Arsenal, Manchester City eye Celtic defender?

A report claims that Arsenal and Manchester City are monitoring the progress of Celtic centre-back Virgil van Dijk.

Arsenal and Manchester City are reportedly keen to recruit Celtic defender Virgil van Dijk.

The Scottish champions signed the centre-back only during the summer, but he has done enough in that time to impress the Premier League duo, who are said to have scouted the 22-year-old in recent weeks.

While Celtic are keen to keep hold of the defender, a bid of £10m may tempt them into selling, according to the Daily Star.

Van Dijk has made 27 appearances this season, scoring three goals in the process.
