Arsenal are reportedly weighing up a bid for Sassuolo forward Domenico Berardi in the summer transfer window.
Berardi has scored nine goals and registered five assists in all competitions for the Serie A side after scoring ten goals in 37 games in 2018-19.
According to Calciomercato, Arsenal are considering a move for Berardi and will send scouts to Italy to watch the 25-year-old in the coming weeks.
Berardi signed a new contract at Sassuolo last October, keeping him at the club until 2024, meaning that any move the Gunners might make could come at a high price.
The newspaper report also claims that Berardi could be a replacement for Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, who has just a year left on his current contract at the Emirates Stadium.
Aubameyang is the top scorer in the Premier League this season with 17 goals from 25 appearances and Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta said that the striker's future will be clearer "depending on where we finish".
