Arsenal manager Unai Emery reportedly identifies Genk winger Leandro Trossard as a possible replacement for Danny Welbeck this summer.

Arsenal manager Unai Emery has reportedly identified Genk winger Leandro Trossard as a possible summer transfer target.

The Gunners have been keeping tabs on Trossard since November and were linked with a January move, although their strict budget essentially ruled out the chance of bringing him to the Emirates Stadium last month.

However, football.london reports that Arsenal plan to revive their interest when the transfer window reopens at the end of the season.

Emery is expected to be given just £40m to spend during the summer, but has earmarked the purchase of the £22m-rated Belgian as a possible replacement for Danny Welbeck.

No transfer fee has yet been discussed by the two clubs, although the player himself is understood to be keen on a move to North London.

The likes of Wolfsburg and Borussia Dortmund have also been linked with the 24-year-old, who has scored 17 goals in 27 appearances across all competitions.
