Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola has made his feelings "clear" on how he will respond to speculation over potential incomings and outgoings during the January transfer window.

The Citizens are known to be in the market for reinforcements this month as they seek to address the age profile of Guardiola's squad and add much-needed depth in key positions.

A combination of injuries and a notable drop-off in form from several first-team players has contributed to Man City's demise this term, leaving them sixth in the Premier League table, out of the EFL Cup and in danger of failing to advance to the Champions League knockout rounds.

Man City hope that the addition of a few fresh faces this month can help turn their fortunes around on all fronts, and it seems as if they are currently focused on strengthening in both the defensive and attacking departments.

Eintracht Frankfurt have reportedly identified a Tottenham Hotspur attacker as a potential January signing.

Despite suffering back-to-back defeats, Frankfurt currently sit in third position in the Bundesliga table, strongly aided by the contributions of Omar Marmoush.

However, 13 goals and seven assists from just 15 appearances have led to the Egypt international being in line to join Manchester City if a fee can be agreed between the two clubs.

Should Frankfurt generate a lucrative fee for the 25-year-old, they will immediately enter the transfer market to find a suitable replacement.

West Ham United have allegedly been offered the opportunity to sign Lille forward Jonathan David.

Earlier this week, the Hammers confirmed that they had replaced head coach Julen Lopetegui with former Brighton & Hove Albion and Chelsea boss Graham Potter.

The Englishman's current focus is on Friday's FA Cup third-round tie against Aston Villa, but attention will soon turn to the transfer market.

With Michail Antonio and Jarred Bowen both sidelined in the long term, West Ham are in desperate need of reinforcements in the final third.

Another club has allegedly been ruled out in the race to sign Manchester United forward Marcus Rashford.

With the England international having failed to earn any game time during United's last six matches, it appears to be a foregone conclusion that he will depart Old Trafford on loan.

A wide array of clubs are said to be interested in his signature, West Ham United the latest Premier League side to be linked with an approach.

Rashford has reportedly already rejected a move to Turkey and Saudi Arabia at the midway point of the campaign, and it appears that another club has been ruled out of the running.

Aston Villa head coach Unai Emery has left the door open for Louie Barry to remain at the club for the rest of the season.

Having impressed for Stockport County during their League Two promotion campaign in 2023-24, Barry was allowed to return to Edgeley Park to get third-tier football under his belt.

The 21-year-old delivered 15 goals and three assists from his 23 League One outings before being recalled by Villa at the start of the year.

While Championship clubs are known to be circling for the versatile attacker, there is scope for Barry staying in the West Midlands with Villa cashing in on Jaden Philogene.

Napoli are reportedly on the verge of securing a deal for Bournemouth midfielder Philip Billing.

The 28-year-old has featured on 10 occasions in the Premier League this season, while he has played 201 times in total for the Cherries since arriving from Huddersfield Town in the summer of 2019.

The Denmark international's time at the club appears to be coming to an end, though, as according to various reports in Italy, he is on the verge of completing a switch to Napoli.

Billing is expected to join the Italian giants on an initial loan deal, with the club then having the option to sign him on a permanent basis during this summer's transfer window for £7.5m.

West Ham United have reportedly been offered the chance to sign Lille forward Jonathan David, with the Canada international potentially being on the move before the end of the January transfer window.

The 24-year-old has again been in excellent form for Lille during the 2024-25 campaign, scoring 17 goals and registering five assists in 27 appearances in all competitions, and his contract with his French club is due to expire this summer.

There has been a host of speculation surrounding David's future, with Manchester United and Barcelona believed to be among his admirers, and it appears that Lille have given up hope of convincing him to sign a new deal.

The Ligue 1 club's president Olivier Letang ruled out a January departure for the Canadian towards the end of last year, insisting that the striker would not be on the move during the winter market.

How much? Arsenal 'suffer blow' in pursuit of Spain star Williams

Arsenal are reportedly keen to sign Athletic Bilbao forward Nico Williams, but the Spain international's substantial wage demands could scupper a switch to the Emirates Stadium.

The 22-year-old scored eight goals and registered 19 assists in 37 appearances for Athletic during the 2023-24 campaign before playing a vital role in Spain winning Euro 2024, including scoring against England in the final.

Williams was widely expected to make the move to Barcelona last summer, with the Catalan outfit activating the €58m (£48m) release clause in his contract, but the forward turned down the chance to join Hansi Flick's side.

The attacker's desire to represent Athletic in this season's Europa League played a major role in his decision, but he has struggled to show his best form this term, only managing two goals and five assists in 25 appearances.
