Sports Mole's Premier League Team of the Week

If there was one word to describe this weekend's Premier League action then it would simply be surprise.

Norwich City recorded the most eye-catching result on Saturday as they stunned Manchester United 1-0 at Carrow Road, while West Bromwich Albion continued their storming start to the campaign with a 2-1 win over Chelsea.

Swansea City left their trip to Newcastle United three points better off, but it was business as usual at the Etihad Stadium as Manchester City hammered Aston Villa 5-0.

Here, Sports Mole selects its Premier League team of the week.

John Ruddy (Norwich)
The Canaries shotstopper didn't have the busiest of afternoons during his side's victory over Manchester United, but he pulled off some important saves when called upon.

Jose Enrique (Liverpool)
The Spaniard was rewarded for arguably his performance of the season so far with a goal in the win against Wigan.
Per Mertesacker (Arsenal)
The German made amends for a mistake that led to Spurs' opener in the North London derby with a superb headed goal to set his team on the road to victory.
Michael Turner (Norwich)
Manchester United huffed and puffed to get something out of their trip to Norfolk, but Turner firmly shut the door in their faces.
Danny Rose (Sunderland)
Gave an assured display at the back to deal with Fulham's attacking threat in Sunday's win at Craven Cottage.

Santi Cazorla (Arsenal)
The slippery Spaniard pulled all the strings in his first derby against Spurs and capped a fine display with a goal.
Yaya Toure (Man City)
While the 5-0 scoreline might have flattered City against Aston Villa, Toure's dynamic presence in midfield provided plenty of inspiration.
Jason Puncheon (Southampton)
The ever-reliable Puncheon netted a fantastic goal that helped the Saints record a vital 3-1 victory at fellow strugglers QPR.

Shane Long (West Brom)
Chelsea failed to get a grip of the Irishman at the Hawthorns as his goal set the Baggies on their way to an impressive 2-1 triumph.
Luis Suarez (Liverpool)
Another weekend, another brace for Suarez who took his tally for the season to 10 goals in the Premier League.
Carlos Tevez (Man City)
