Nigel Winterburn: 'Arsenal don't fear Tottenham Hotspur'

Former Arsenal defender Nigel Winterburn believes that the Gunners hold no fear of their local rivals ahead of the North London derby against Tottenham Hotspur.

Former Arsenal defender Nigel Winterburn believes that the Gunners have no fear when it comes to facing Tottenham Hotspur at White Hart Lane.

Arsene Wenger's side have not defeated Spurs away from home since 2007, but have the chance to close the gap at the top of the table with a win in the North London derby.

Winterburn, who won three league titles in his 13 years at Arsenal, believes that his former team can use the uncertainty at Spurs to their advantage and come away with the three points.

"I'm not just saying this because I played for Arsenal but their record is amazing against Tottenham – despite them coming back into it in the last few years," he told Goal.com.

"I don't think Arsenal have that fear factor at White Hart Lane – they've won the title there and I think Arsenal believe that if they play to the best of their abilities they will win.

"There's a lot going on at Tottenham at the moment as well – there's some uncertainty there and I think that's what Arsenal need to use to their advantage at the weekend."

Arsenal sit in fourth place in the Premier League table on 59 points.
