Arsene Wenger confident Arsenal will continue winning PL form against Spurs

Arsene Wenger is confident that Arsenal can continue their winning run in the Premier League, despite losing 5-1 to Bayern Munich in midweek.

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has claimed that his team are confident of continuing their winning Premier League form to get a result against North London rivals Tottenham Hotspur this weekend.

The Gunners were hammered 5-1 by Bayern Munich in the Champions League on Wednesday night.

In the league, Arsenal have won their last five fixtures on the bounce, and Wenger believes that his players are capable of making it six on Sunday.

"It was a disappointing result on Wednesday night but before that we did extremely well in the Premier League," Wenger told reporters. "We will try to continue from one competition from the other.

"I believe that in the Premier League we have a strong confidence and focus and that is what we want to reproduce on Sunday against Tottenham and, as always, it is a derby. It is always a game where the commitment and nervous force will be important."

Arsenal are second in the league table, on level points with leaders Manchester City.
