Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger blames a lack of creativity for his side's failure to break down Sunderland at the Emirates Stadium today.

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has blamed a lack of creativity for his side's failure to break down Sunderland today.

The Gunners dominated in terms of possession at the Emirates Stadium but, despite naming Gervinho, Lukas Podolski, Santi Cazorla and Theo Walcott in their starting XI, they were unable to find the net and drew 0-0.

"Some players changed position, and some were not completely fit," Wenger told BBC Sport. "Playing three strikers didn't work today.

"We had no space, and the passing was not quick enough so it was difficult for them. Maybe we needed one more creative player.

"It's one game and it's too early to draw definitive conclusions because we faced a specific problem from a team who played very deep."

Arsenal's next fixture is away at Stoke City a week tomorrow.
