Theo Walcott has reaffirmed his desire to become a striker at Arsenal.
The England international has impressed when played in his favoured role in recent games, and has reiterated that he sees himself best deployed as a centre-forward rather than out wide, following the 5-2 win against Tottenham Hotspur.
"I've always believed I was a striker," Walcott told TalkSPORT. "The boss (Arsene Wenger) gave me five minutes at the end there and I managed to grab a goal which was great. But when you've got someone like Olivier [Giroud] who is playing well there's no need to change a winning team.
"My time will come, I've just got to be patient, but like a say, I want to play up front, that's my best position."
The north London derby victory took the Gunners to 19 points from 12 games in the Premier League.
