Theo Walcott: 'I am completely different this season'

Arsenal forward Theo Walcott says that he is "completely different" this season to last term having scored three goals in six Premier League starts already.

Arsenal forward Theo Walcott has claimed that he is "completely different" this season to last term.

The 27-year-old once again struggled to hold down a regular spot in the Arsenal team during the previous campaign, but so far this year he has started every Premier League match, scoring three goals in the process.

Walcott is expected to be involved once again for the Champions League meeting with Basel on Wednesday, and he is pleased with how things are going so far this season.

"I found it difficult towards the end of last season, I didn't get many opportunities." Walcott told reporters.

"I spoke to many people and woke up something in my system - I am completely different. I just want to do better and better, after all the faith people have had in me.

"Maybe in the past I was thinking about others rather than myself, and I think it's about getting the balance right. There are always ups and downs, but it's all about now, and now it is going well."

The Gunners are one of four teams currently on one point in Group A following their 1-1 draw with Paris Saint-Germain earlier this month.
