Daniel Sturridge: 'Liverpool worked as a team'

Liverpool striker Daniel Sturridge says that the side "worked as a team" in their 5-1 thrashing of Arsenal.

Daniel Sturridge has said that Liverpool "worked as a team" in order to thrash Arsenal 5-1 at Anfield this lunchtime.

The striker scored the fourth of the home side's goals, while Martin Skrtel and Raheem Sterling both found the target twice.

"We went out there and did what the manager told us. The first 20 minutes were unbelievable and it's about the team. We worked as a team and we are getting results," BBC Sport quotes the 24-year-old as saying.

"It starts form the back and the boys have been excellent. Martin Skrtel got two goals and Raheem Sterling two and got a well-earned man of the match for all the hard work he has put in."

The result leaves Liverpool in fourth place in the Premier League table, five points clear of Everton in fifth.
