Emile Smith Rowe and Bukayo Saka match a Premier League goalscoring feat achieved by Cristiano Ronaldo and Wayne Rooney in Arsenal's 4-2 win over Chelsea.

Arsenal duo Emile Smith Rowe and Bukayo Saka have matched a Premier League feat last achieved by Cristiano Ronaldo and Wayne Rooney after Wednesday's 4-2 win at Chelsea.

The former restored Arsenal's lead on the night with a calm finish into the bottom corner before Saka was hauled down right at the death by Cesar Azpilicueta and smashed home the resulting penalty.

Eddie Nketiah's brace on the night also helped Arsenal to a thrilling London derby win - one which saw them move level on points with fourth-placed Tottenham Hotspur in the Premier League table.

Smith Rowe and Saka both notched their 10th Premier League goals of the season at Stamford Bridge - becoming the first pair aged 21 or under to do so since the 2006-07 campaign.

Ronaldo and Rooney did so for Sir Alex Ferguson's Man United that year, with the former netting 17 top-flight goals while Rooney made the net ripple on 14 occasions.

Michael Bridges and Harry Kewell also achieved the feat for Leeds United in the 1999-00 campaign, and Arsenal will endeavour to further boost their top-four hopes with victory over Man United at the Emirates on Saturday lunchtime.
