Louis Saha: We can finish third

Spurs striker Louis Saha is confident that they can end the season strongly to pip rivals Arsenal to third place in the Premier League.

Tottenham Hotspur striker Louis Saha is confident that his side can close the gap on Arsenal and secure third place in the Premier League.

Spurs trail their North London neighbours by three points in the table after failing to win in five league games, while Arsenal have recorded seven consecutive wins in the top flight.

This form has seen Harry Redknapp's side surrender their previous 10-point advantage over the Gunners, but Saha believes that Spurs can reproduce their rivals' recent run of results to pip them to third spot.

"It is football, with lots of paradox and things can quickly change," the French striker said.

"Arsenal have had a run so they are confident. They are in the front seat, they are in a good position but it doesn't mean we cannot do the same.

"We have shown consistency during the season. We may have dropped a few points during the past weeks but we have shown that we have closed the gap in terms of our performances."

Saha has netted four times in nine appearances, including one against Arsenal, for the Lillywhites since arriving on a free transfer from Everton in January.
