Harry Redknapp worries Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger is on the brink

Harry Redknapp worries that Arsene Wenger will walk away from Arsenal if fans' poor treatment of him continues.

Harry Redknapp has claimed that under-fire Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger could walk away from the club this summer due to the fans' treatment of him.

The Gunners host West Bromwich Albion tonight in a game which is expected to throw up something of a toxic atmosphere at the Emirates Stadium following recent results.

Wenger's side, 13 points behind Premier League leaders Leicester City and seven adrift of second-placed Tottenham Hotspur, have managed just two wins from their last seven league games and supporter protests are planned versus the Baggies.

There are expected to be thousands of empty seats in boycott of the Frenchman - who joined Arsenal in 1996 - while a walkout has also been planned for the 75th minute.

"The big problem for Arsene Wenger is once you lose the fans, there is no way back," ex-Spurs boss Redknapp wrote in the Evening Standard.

"I saw the Arsenal fans' proposed boycott of tonight's match against West Brom and if it goes ahead to the extent it has been predicted, Arsene will get the message loud and clear.

"After everything he has done for the club, he may feel he's had enough of it all if the fans properly turn their backs on him."

Wenger, whose contract expires in 2017, has delivered six FA Cups and three league titles during his 20-season stay in North London.
