Mesut Ozil to undergo knee scan

Germany midfielder Mesut Ozil is to undergo an MRI scan after suffering a knee injury.

A spokesman for the German national team has confirmed that Mesut Ozil is due to undergo an MRI scan after suffering a knee injury.

The 25-year-old Arsenal midfielder will have the scan later today (Wednesday), making him a doubt for his country's upcoming Euro 2016 qualifiers against Poland and the Republic of Ireland.

Jens Grittner tweeted: "[Ozil] had travelled with knee problems, is to have an MRI scan in Munich."

World champions Germany continue their Euro 2016 qualifying campaign on Saturday when they face Poland in Warsaw.
