Arsenal striker Eddie Nketiah is full of praise for teammate Alexandre Lacazette following the 20-year-old's first Premier League goal of the season against Everton.

Arsenal striker Eddie Nketiah has insisted there is no bad blood between himself and fellow Gunners striker Alexandre Lacazette.

Despite ending a nine-game goal drought in all competitions with strikes against Newcastle United and Olympiacos, the France international found himself on the bench for the second Premier League game in a row as Mikel Arteta trusted Nketiah to lead the line against Everton.

The 20-year-old scored Arsenal's equaliser as Arteta's side ran out eventual 3-2 winners and has affirmed that he has a positive relationship with Lacazette.

"Obviously he [Lacazette] is a mature lad and a great player," Nketiah is quoted as saying by Goal. "He always tries to encourage me.

"He has been a young player in my position so he knows what it is like. There are no hostilities, he's just always looking to help and improve and it shows the maturity he has.

"He has had a great career so all I can do is take the advice he gives me and try and implement it in my game and do what I do best."

The Gunners now lie ninth in the Premier League table, seven points off fourth-placed Chelsea.
