Jose Mourinho: 'Arsenal backed Arsene Wenger in lots of bad moments'

Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho says that Arsenal backed manager Arsene Wenger during a lot of "bad moments".

Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho has expressed his 'admiration' for Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger while also commenting on a lot of "bad moments" for the club.

Wenger will take charge of his 1,000th Arsenal game at Stamford Bridge in tomorrow's clash against Chelsea.

"I admire him and admire Arsenal because it is not possible to have 1,000 matches unless the club is also a fantastic club in the way they support their manager, especially in the bad moments, and especially when the bad moments were quite a lot," BBC Sport quotes Mourinho as saying.

Arsenal are currently four points behind leaders Chelsea in the Premier League table.
