Kieron Gibbs: 'Arsenal can make big statement at Anfield'

Kieron Gibbs believes that Arsenal can make a "big statement" by beating Liverpool at Anfield on Saturday.

Kieron Gibbs has claimed that Arsenal can make a "big statement" about their title credentials when they travel to Merseyside to face Liverpool this weekend.

The Gunners are currently two points clear at the top of the Premier League, and Gibbs believes that a win over Liverpool would prove plenty of people wrong in the same way that victory over the same opponents did in November.

"I think it would make a big statement if we won there, just like it did when we played Liverpool at home," Gibbs told reporters.

"Before that game, we had not played any big games and although we were sitting at the top of the league, people were saying, 'There's a big game coming now, that will put it into perspective.'

"Everyone enjoys the big games and this is just another big game to show what we can go and do."

Arsenal are currently on an eight-game unbeaten run in the league.
