Christian Eriksen: 'Victory in derby can provide important confidence boost'

Christian Eriksen believes that a win over Arsenal could hand Tottenham Hotspur an important boost as they look to secure a spot in the top four of the Premier League.

Christian Eriksen has claimed that a victory in the North London derby can hand Tottenham Hotspur a big confidence boost heading into the closing stages of the season.

Spurs take on Arsenal at White Hart Lane this Sunday following losses to Chelsea and Benfica in the space of a week, but Eriksen believes that a win over their closest rivals could change the mood at the club.

"I've only been here for a few months but I know what this derby is all about," the Dane told the club's official website.

"I've played in one and now it's at home, so I'm looking forward to it. It would mean everything [to get a positive result] and would give everyone a huge boost."

Spurs are currently fifth in the Premier League and trail the Gunners by six points.
