Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta has won the Premier League's Manager of the Month accolade for February, following four wins out of four.

The Gunners were the only side in the Premier League to win all four of their fixtures during the month, making Arteta the overriding favourite for the award.

In a three-man shortlist, Arteta beat Pep Guardiola and Erik ten Hag, following votes from the public combined with those from a panel of experts.

Arsenal got February underway with a vital 3-1 win over Liverpool at the Emirates that brought them back into the title race following an underwhelming finish to 2023, and limited league action in January.

Last season's runners-up were then rampant in back-to-back away wins over West Ham United and Burnley.

At the London Stadium, Arsenal thrashed the Hammers 6-0, before making the trip north to Turf Moor, where they swept Burnley aside by five goals to nil.

A hugely impressive month was rounded off with another eye-catching victory at the Emirates, as Arsenal beat Newcastle United 4-1 on February 24.

Not only ending the month as the only side with a 100% record, Arsenal scored more goals than any other club (18), and conceded the joint-fewest (two, tied with Manchester City).

After seemingly slipping out of title contention late in 2023 following surprise defeats to Fulham and West Ham, Arsenal have reapplied the pressure on Liverpool and Man City, who meet in the league this weekend.

The Gunners sit just two points behind leaders Liverpool in third, knowing that if they get a win against Brentford on Saturday, they will move above at least one, or both, of the sides above them.

For Arteta personally, it is the seventh time that he has won the award, despite managing only 160 times in the Premier League.

It moves him up to eighth in the all-time list of winners, level with Rafael Benitez, who took charge of almost 200 more games in the top flight, and he is almost halfway to beating Arsene Wenger's tally of 15.
