Arsenal and Chelsea announce that they will contest a pre-season London derby in Dublin on August 1.

Arsenal and Chelsea will meet in a pre-season friendly ahead of the 2018-19 Premier League campaign.

The London rivals will face off at the Aviva Stadium in Dublin on August 1, just 10 days before the beginning of the new season.

Arsenal and Chelsea faced each other five times during the 2017-18, and they will renew acquaintances early in the forthcoming season too, playing in front of what is expected to be a sold-out 51,700 crowd.

The match is due to be new Arsenal boss Unai Emery's third match in charge of the club, following on from games against Atletico Madrid and Paris Saint-Germain.

Chelsea, meanwhile, will face Perth Glory, Sevilla and Inter Milan before taking on Arsenal.
