Arsenal remain most expensive team to watch in the country

Arsenal remain the most expensive team to watch in the country, but average ticket prices drop by 2.4%, according to the BBC's Price of Football survey.

Arsenal fans are forced to pay out the most money to watch their team compared to their counterparts across the country.

The BBC's Price of Football survey has discovered that the most expensive matchday ticket for supporters of the North London club costs £126, while a season ticket could set fans back £1,955.

Arsenal's arch rivals Tottenham Hotspur are next in the list in terms of pricey season tickets, but their rate is £60 less than the Gunners.

The study has also shown that the average price of match tickets throughout the Premier League and Football League has dropped by 2.4% over the last year.

Chelsea offer the second most expensive matchday ticket at £87.
