Arsenal will be looking to equal a club record when they travel to the South coast for Saturday's Premier League clash with Brighton & Hove Albion.

Arsenal will have the opportunity to equal an all-time club record when they travel to the Amex Stadium for Saturday's Premier League meeting with Brighton & Hove Albion.

The Gunners are currently involved in a three-way title race, having picked up 68 points from their 30 Premier League matches.

Mikel Arteta's side temporarily moved to the top of the table after they recorded a 2-0 win in Wednesday's home win over Luton Town.

However, they dropped back down to second following Liverpool's win over Sheffield United, leaving them two points adrift of the Reds and one point ahead of third-placed Manchester City.

With Liverpool set to face Manchester United on Sunday, Arsenal can move back to the top of the standings if they beat the Seagulls at the Amex Stadium.

While claiming three points will be the main priority, the Gunners also have the chance to achieve a club record in Saturday's fixture.

Having recorded shutouts in each of their last four top-flight road trips, Arsenal now have the opportunity to equal the all-time club league record of five consecutive away clean sheets.

The Gunners set the current record in the 1996-97 season when they played out goalless draws against Leeds United and Tottenham Hotspur, before beating Everton, Southampton and Chelsea without conceding.

Their current run of away clean sheets is made up of resounding wins over West Ham United, Burnley and Sheffield United, plus a goalless draw in last Sunday's clash with title rivals Manchester City.

Odegaard could be key against the Seagulls

Arsenal captain Martin Odegaard could have another decisive role to play after scoring the opening in the midweek win against Luton.

The Norway international has fared reasonably well in meetings with the Seagulls, scoring two goals and providing two assists in his six appearances.

Odegaard's most eye-catching display against the South-coast side took place in December 2022 when he grabbed a goal and an assist in a 4-2 away win.

Saturday's contest is also set to be a memorable day for Arsenal right-back Ben White, who is poised to make his 100th Premier League appearance for the North London club.

White previously played 41 competitive matches for Saturday's opponents, but the defender will be fully focused on helping Arsenal get the better of his former side.
