Arsene Wenger praises Arsenal's "fantastic" display in EFL Cup tie at Forest

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger says that his team put in a "fantastic" performance in their 4-0 win over Nottingham Forest in the EFL Cup third round.

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has described his team as "fantastic" following their victory over Nottingham Forest in the third round of the EFL Cup at the City Ground this evening.

Granit Xhaka opened the scoring in the 23rd minute, while his fellow summer signing Lucas Perez netted twice before Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain rounded off a 4-0 win.

"I knew we had a strong squad," Wenger told reporters. "It was a full house, a completely motivated team against us and we had a complete performance.

"The speed and movement of our play was fantastic. Lucas Perez and Granit Xhaka were very good."

The Gunners are now unbeaten in six games in all competitions.
