Thomas Partey returns to Arsenal training ahead of Norwich clash

Arsenal welcome three integral players in Thomas Partey, Gabriel Magalhaes and Ben White back to training ahead of Saturday's Premier League clash with Norwich City.

Arsenal have been handed three major injury boosts after Thomas Partey, Ben White and Gabriel Magalhaes were pictured taking part in training with the group on Monday.

Former Atletico Madrid man Partey sustained an ankle injury in the Gunners' pre-season defeat to Chelsea last month, which ruled him out of the subsequent Premier League clash with the Blues as well as the defeats to Brentford and Manchester City.

Partey has now missed 21 games through injury during his troubled first year at the Emirates, but the midfielder was pictured back in training with the group ahead of the weekend's encounter with Norwich City.

It remains to be seen if the Ghana international will be cleared to play against Norwich on Saturday, where the COVID-positive Granit Xhaka will serve the first of a three-game suspension following his sending off at the Etihad.

Centre-backs White and Gabriel returned to the group following COVID-19 infection and a knee injury respectively, with the Gunners seeking to shore up a defence which has shipped nine goals in the league so far.

Out-of-favour striker Eddie Nketiah has also shaken off an ankle problem, but Mohamed Elneny and Sead Kolasinac both picked up injuries while on international duty.
