Arsenal's Aaron Ramsey 'ruled out for one month'

Arsene Wenger confirms that Aaron Ramsey will miss Saturday's match against Newcastle United due to a hamstring issue.

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has confirmed that midfielder Aaron Ramsey will play no part in tomorrow's match against Newcastle United at the Emirates.

A hamstring complaint has put the Welshman on the sidelines just days after he scored arguably the best goal of his career in the Gunners' 3-1 victory over Galatasaray in the Champions League.

Widespread reports have claimed that the 23-year-old could be out of action for around four weeks.

"It's a shame because he was getting close to matching last season's form," Wenger told reporters in this morning's press conference.

Ramsey joins Laurent Koscielny and Nacho Monreal on the treatment table, while Calum Chambers misses out due to suspension following his sending-off in last weekend's 3-2 defeat to Stoke City.
