Arsenal team news: Injury, suspension list vs. Liverpool

Sports Mole rounds up all of Arsenal's injury and suspension news ahead of their Premier League clash with Liverpool on Saturday.

Arsenal will aim to extend their winning streak in all competitions to five matches when they travel to Liverpool for Saturday evening's Premier League battle.

The resurgent Gunners scraped a 1-0 win over Watford just before the international break, with Emile Smith Rowe netting the only goal of the encounter at the Emirates.

Mikel Arteta's side suddenly find themselves fifth in the table amid their stellar run of form and will leapfrog the Reds into fourth with a win at Anfield.

Here, Sports Mole rounds up all of Arsenal's latest injury and suspension news ahead of the contest.

Granit Xhaka

Status: Out
Type of injury: Knee
Possible return date: Unknown

Granit Xhaka is making progress in his recovery from a serious knee injury sustained in September's North London derby, but he is highly unlikely to return before 2022.

Folarin Balogun

Status: Minor doubt
Type of injury: Illness
Possible return date: November 20 (vs. Liverpool)

Folarin Balogun had to be replaced after just 36 minutes of England Under-21s defeat to Georgia in midweek with stomach cramps, but the youngster should be in contention for this match.

Sead Kolasinac

Status: Out
Type of injury: Ankle
Possible return date: Unknown

Sead Kolasinac suffered a nasty-looking ankle injury during the international break following a tackle from Finland's Jukka Raitala, and the Bosnian is surely set for a spell on the sidelines now.

Thomas Partey

Status: Major doubt
Type of injury: Groin
Possible return date: November 20 (vs. Liverpool)

Arsenal's latest medical update did not include any mention of Thomas Partey, which led to expectation of the midfielder being available after a groin problem, but Arteta has since revealed that he has done very little preparation and remains doubtful.

ARSENAL'S SUSPENSION LIST

Arsenal have no players suspended for this match.
