Manager Arsene Wenger has claimed that his Arsenal first-team squad deserve to achieve "something special" during the closing weeks of the season.
Last week, Wenger announced that he would step down from his role with the Gunners at the end of the campaign to conclude a 22-year reign with the North London outfit.
Arsenal are attempting to win the Europa League - which would secure qualification for next year's Champions League - and Wenger has acknowledged that he wants to achieve something 'satisfying' before his departure.
At a press conference, the Frenchman told reporters: "I want to win and continue to do what I have done my whole life. The next game is in Europe and then we face [Manchester] United.
"I want to win those games. Is there a perfect goodbye? I don't know. I want to do as well as I can. We have been challenged mentally and I have seen my players respond.
"This group of players deserve something special and I want to do it for them and achieve it with them. My biggest satisfaction would be to be successful with the players I have."
Arsenal face Atletico Madrid in the Europa League semi-finals, with Wenger saying that the Spanish outfit possess 'no weaknesses'.
