UEFA have handed Nicklas Bendtner a one-match suspension and fined him £80,000 for exposing sponsored underwear during Denmark's 3-2 loss to Portugal last week.
The Arsenal striker showed off the waistband of his boxer shorts which were branded with the logo of Irish bookmaker Paddy Power after scoring his second goal during his nation's defeat.
UEFA, who have strict guidelines against advertising, announced immediately after the encounter in Lviv that they would investigative the incident.
Having studied the 24-year-old's actions, the governing body have opted to ban him for one World Cup qualifying match, as well as dealing out the fine.
It is not yet known whether or not Bendtner will appeal the verdict.
