Robin van Persie will start against Borussia Dortmund

Captain Robin van Persie will start Arsenal's Champions League match against Borussia Dortmund tomorrow, manager Arsene Wenger confirms.

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has confirmed that Robin van Persie will start tomorrow's Champions League fixture against Borussia Dortmund at the Emirates Stadium.

The Gunners captain has begun the previous two European matches on the bench, but Wenger has revealed that his striker his fully fit and will be named in the starting lineup.

"Robin van Persie started on the bench last time because we had medical concerns," Wenger told a press conference. "Tomorrow we have no medical concerns at all so that means he will start."

Arsenal would qualify from their group with a win against the German side and the boss has insisted that everybody connected with club is aware of the importance that the game holds.

"Every player and member of staff is conscious that it is big game," added the Frenchman. "It is a big night for us and an important one."

Wenger's side and Dortmund played out a 1-1 draw when the sides met in Germany back in September.
