Barcelona coach Pep Guardiola is keen for his side to avoid AC Milan in the quarter-finals of the Champions League.

Pep Guardiola has admitted that he would prefer his Barcelona side to be kept apart from AC Milan in Friday's Champions League quarter-final draw.

Barca have already faced the Rossoneri earlier in the competition during the group stages, drawing one and winning the other match.

Despite being unbeaten against the Italians, Guardiola is keen to avoid a rematch with Milan.

"I would like to avoid Milan in the quarter-finals," Guardiola told reporters.

"We have already played [twice] and they are one of the biggest clubs in Europe.

"However, to reach the final in Munich, there is still so much to accomplish and above all, there remains the need to clash with the best."

Guardiola's team booked their place in the last eight with a 10-2 aggregate win over Bayer Leverkusen.
