Lucas Biglia will travel to Rome on Sunday to have a medical with Lazio.

Lucas Biglia is expected in Rome over the weekend to undergo a medical ahead of a €6m (£5m) move to Lazio.

The Anderlecht midfielder, who has previously been linked with Inter Milan and Arsenal, announced last month that he will be leaving Belgium this summer.

Biancocelesti made him an offer straight away and chief executive Claudio Lotito has confirmed that the move is nearing completion.

"He will arrive in Rome on Sunday and will have his medical soon after," Football Italia quotes the 56-year-old as saying.

Biglia, who has seven caps for Argentina, moved to Belgium from Independiente in 2006.
