Scott Donnelly rejoins Aldershot on a free transfer after being released by Swansea City.

Aldershot Town have announced the return of attacking midfielder Scott Donnelly, two years after he left the club to join Swansea City.

Donnelly, who was released from the Liberty Stadium this summer, has signed a short-term contract at the League Two outfit and may be rewarded with an extended deal if he proves his fitness.

Manager Dean Holdsworth said: "Scott provides us with an attacking option that we need in the squad and provides a healthy competition for places.

"This is a good signing for us and I am really looking forward to working with him."

Donnelly represented the Shots between 2007 and 2010, scoring 20 goals in 82 appearances.
